Where do the rich people live in Chicago? 630? 847? 312?

What’s in the Bubbly Creek today…

What a terrible story at Ft. Hood. I really don’t have much to add to this story. I have been down to Ft. Hood and what I think people don’t realize is that Ft. Hood is a city inside a town. When you go inside the base, there are restaurants, big-box stores and on-base housing which is like subdivisions. So this tragedy affected more than just soldiers.

Last night I watched a little bit of TV and saw several commercials for flu-related products. More than usual. I’m starting to think this H1N1 was made by a cough syrup company, because they have to be making bank right now! It’s not a pandemic, it’s a strong business model! While we’re at it, can someone tell me when Flu season is? Also, when is Hurricane season? And the WNBA season?

Okay, let’s get to it:

The IL GOP Gubernatorial candidates debated last night. No Judy Baar like fireworks though…

So we are losing Oprah? Wait, didn’t we do this song & dance already? Dibs on her studio if she leaves. I want to re-do the Ricki Lake show.

Yeay! Coupathon is now following me on Twitter. I’m guessing it’s about coupons. Or maybe it’s about infant coughing? Wait, that would be croupathon. Dibs on that name.

Eight Forty-Eight had a little story asking locals to comment on area-codes. One person said “630 is where all the rich people live.” Is that true? Is everyone in Aurora rich? Even Batavia and Bolingbrook don’t meet that category. I always think 847 is the rich area code. Right?

And finally – here is the audio from Howard Stern’s newscast yesterday, featuring our newest addition to the Chicago Public Radio/Vocalo blog.  Feder is on the Stern Show. I am so jealous. Not only is Feder on Howard, but he gets a ton of time in the cast:
