Sound bite of the day: Senator Burris comments on health care stall tactics

Today’s sound bite of the day is from rarely-heard Senator Roland Burris. He’s back on the circuit due to his crucial vote in the Senate on health care reform. In today’s local press conference, Burris talk s about the tactics of his “distinguished colleagues from across the aisle.”

What Senator Burris didn’t say in this bite was that if a “strong public option” was not included in the bill he may vote alongside his “distinguished colleagues from across the aisle,” albeit for different reasons. Burris won’t say one way or another if he’d vote to stall the bill through a filibuster. Wouldn’t that be fun to watch.
