Here’s how MISSion Amy K.R. works
Mondays: I post the week’s new mission along with a related “idea morsel” (could be a short film, a chunk of prose, a piece of art, a project, a list, a dream). Then you simply do what I’ve suggested (because you are agreeable and adventurous that way) and share your thoughts/results here.
Wednesdays: We have an “Inter Mission.” It’s just what you’d think: a short post designed to help you stretch your legs (and mind) mid-week.
Fridays: I post a curated selection of the wondrous stuff that’s come our way. If you gained something in the process (a new insight, a new friend, a moment of pleasure or clarity) and/or we changed the world, then mission accomplished.
(Ed note – here is more about the project and Amy’s bio):
Amy Krouse Rosenthal is on a mission: to inspire her vocalo audience through weekly, playfully interactive projects and invitations. To say Rosenthal is a writer, filmmaker and radio host does not do justice to the variety and sheer innovation behind her creative endeavors. She has published 12 children’s books (and 8 forthcoming) including The New York Times bestsellers Cookies: Bite Size Life Lessons and Duck! Rabbit! (which was also recently named the #1 children’s book of the year by Time magazine). As for her adult work, Amazon named her Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life one of the top 10 memoirs of 2005. Rosenthal is also the creator of the ongoing film project, The Beckoning of Lovely: A Feature Film Featuring You. Her new role with vocalo.org is in the spirit of the Writers’ Block Party show which aired on WBEZ Radio from 2001-08.
